Spring like Steelhead fishing on the Olympic Peninsula

Spring like weather over the past week.  Skunk cabbage is coming up, Grouse are drumming, Dogwoods are blooming.  Fishing over the past week has been great on the OP streams.  Perfect water conditions for those who fished following the high water over last weekend.  Drifting eggs or shrimp, have produced best.  Some hatchery fish are still in the mix, yet the wild fish are filling out the bulk of the action.

An interesting fog effect, DR Rick with a chrome hen

Kevin Philips and I with a trophy Sol Duc Steelhead

Dean Philips with a nice hatchery fish for the BBQ

Dave with a giant from the OP

 Cheers,

Capt. Matt
